The Finest Meta Quest 2 Games Currently Available

Posted on 25/09/202225/09/2022 By Ravishan No Comments on The Finest Meta Quest 2 Games Currently Available

Meta Quest 2 Games: A HIGH-END PC is no longer required to run a VR headset, so VR HAS COME A LONG WAY in the past few years. It’s not surprising that Meta had sold 10 million Quest 2 units as of November 2014 considering the device’s affordable $299 price. By far, this VR headset is our favorite.

If you already own one, you are aware that there are countless games available, ranging from mini golf to shooters and puzzle games. The controls and haptics of the Quest 2 seem to best utilized by puzzle games, but there are a ton of other games in a variety of genres that are also worthwhile playing. Trust us on this because we’ve spent countless hours playing since the Quest 2’s release in October 2020.

The Best First Game

Moss

One of the first VR games I introduced to newcomers is Moss. It’s the first VR title I’ve ever sat down and finished in its entirety. In Moss’s tale, a cute little mouse sets out to save her people. In contrast to most VR games where you play as the protagonist, Moss casts you as a kind forest spirit who aids Quill (the mousey) as they navigate obstacles like traps and engage in combat with teeny-tiny monsters. Your vantage point is farther away from the action, as though you were looking down into an exquisite and engaging diorama. Because Moss is primarily a seated experience, it is approachable, especially if you are prone to motion sickness.

The Best Shooter

Superhot VR

Superhot VR is still at the top of lists of must-play games for VR headsets more than five years after its initial release. You must battle your way through a swarm of enemies in this first-person shooter, but there’s a crucial twist: Time only moves forward when you move. This means that you can take your time coming up with your attack or you can just sigh in defeat as you stare at the bullet that is aiming for your head and is about to kill you.

For Travelers

Puzzling Places

For weeks, I’ve using the Quest 2 with a dead battery. I just can’t seem to stop wondering. In Puzzling Places, you select an exquisite, intricate object or setting, such as a lovely antique kimono or the French coast of Biarritz, disassemble it into between 25 and 400 pieces, and then painstakingly reassemble it. Browse through the 2D cards to see how each side should present. Rotate in your hands the partially completed Swedish drawing room or Swiss cathedral. Once the pieces assemble, move through the corridors of an Armenian monastery inspecting candelabras with the most satisfying haptic click ever experienced. After completing all 400-piece puzzles twice,

For Storytelling

Down the Rabbit Hole

Down the Rabbit Hole is a charming 360-degree puzzle game that beautifully reimagines the world of Alice in Wonderland. It alternates between third- and first-person perspectives to vividly illustrate ingenious game mechanics. You, the main character, are looking for your missing pet Patches when you stumble into a hole that conceal beneath a trap door. You finally arrive at the White Rabbit’s house at the bottom, where he has strewing the Queen of Heart’s birthday party invitations. If you were both the person trapped in the room and the person watching the person trapped in the room who is able to see the bigger picture, think of this as a single-person escape room.

If DDR Is Missed

Beat Saber

Beat Saber did indeed come out in 2018. But it is undeniably insanely entertaining. Who doesn’t want to hold a lightsaber in each hand, really? Then, when you accidentally (or purposefully, in my case) tap your controllers together, have them rumble so that it sounds like you’re fighting yourself on Endor. With the lightsabers out of the way, you can quickly learn how to play the game and start dozing off to your favorite songs (Green Day or Skrillex, anyone?). To see who is the best at slicing boxes and dodging walls to a beat, play Beat Saber with friends if you’re the competitive type.

Beat Saber

For Partygoers

Blaston

Boston is the game for you if you’ve ever wanted to experience what it was like to duel with pistols as they did in the eighteenth century. Although you can play it alone and against online opponents, playing it with a friend is much more enjoyable (or two or three). Only two duelists can duel at once, but other group members can watch. Trust us when we say that it gets ridiculous and hilarious. Weapons and shields spawn all around the dueling participants’ individual platforms as they dropp into the arena. After that, you’ll engage in a best-of-two showdown to inflict damage and lower your opponent’s health bar.

For the Better Quick Pickers

The Room

Puzzle boxes have a profoundly satisfying quality. It feels downright magical to pick up an item and manipulate it until a secret reveal. The Room series, which raises the bar for simulating the tactile pleasure of escape rooms and puzzles but without being constrained by the boundaries of physical reality, found on that idea. The Room VR: A Dark Matter is all the more stunning as a result. In ways you couldn’t in earlier games in the series, you can pick up keys, turn over items, and move your head in this one to get a better look at the things you’re investigating. This game is such a natural fit for VR that I kind of want to see all the earlier games converted as well.

Tips Before Playing

The Basics

There are some tasks you must complete before you can play. The Quest 2 interface is not always the most straightforward to use, so here are some suggestions for setting everything up.

Define your limits. The last thing you want while playing is to be essentially blindfolded and run into something in your room. You will receive instructions from your Quest 2 on how to establish your boundary. You can create a play space on Roomscale that is both mobile and stationary when you are not moving. But what happens if you relocate? Or would you prefer to sit down while playing a game?

Press the Oculus button on your right controller (it’s the one next to the joystick) to change your boundary. If the menu isn’t already visible, you only need to do this to bring it up at the bottom of the screen. Hovering your cursor over the clock there will allow you to select the Quick Settings panel. Next, select Guardian. If you select Stationary, all you need to do is click Confirm, and you’re done. It will walk you through creating a new Guardian boundary if you choose Roomscale.

acquire the games.

Install the Oculus app, then sign into your account. As with the browser steps, you can either scroll through or perform a search for a specific title if you click the Store button on the bottom left. The app uses the same button with a price system at the bottom of the screen once you’ve selected a game.

Put on the headset and open the bottom menu once more. The orange icon with the tiny shopping bag is the store icon. You can either search for games or browse them by clicking this. When you’ve decided on a game and are viewing its information page, click the blue button with the price marker to the right to make a purchase.

Download your games and play them

After making a game purchase, you must download it. The download ought to begin immediately if you bought it using the headset’s Store. When it’s finished. The button will change to “Play,” allowing you to begin immediately.

Go to the Store on your headset and look for the game if you bought it through the browser or an app. Although it will be marked as “Purchased” in the store. When you click on its information page, the blue button will now read “Download” instead of the price. Once you click that, a progress bar for the download will appear automatically.

Pressing the Oculus button on that right controller will bring up the bottom menu bar where you can access all of your games, both downloaded and purchased. From there, select “Apps” from the list on the right (the one with the nine dots). You can filter this to only see the purchases that are installed or aren’t installed to see all of your purchases. As soon as you click the game’s icon, it should start playing.

You may occasionally notice that your screen is no longer perfectly centered. You may remove your headset to check your phone or drink some water. You may need to adjust your orientation while playing a game. To access the Quick Settings menu. Press the Oculus button on the right controller and then click where it says “Time” on the left. There is a “Reset View” button next to the Wi-Fi. When you click on this, a prompt will appear asking you to move your head to where you want the screen to be. Once it is in the desired location, hit confirm.

The life of your battery

The Quest 2’s battery typically lasts about two hours after being fully charged. By pressing the Oculus button on the right controller. You can access the bottom menu if you’re unsure of how much battery life your headset has left. There is a small battery icon to the left of the clock that shows you an approximate indication of your charge. When you click on it, the Quick Settings screen appears. The precise percentage and those of each of your controllers display in the top left.
