Rephrase.info is a popular paraphrasing tool that you can use online. If you have some familiarity with online paraphrasing tools, you’ll know that it’s actually one of the popular names in the biz, and for a good reason.
Like a few other awesome paraphrase tools, Rephrase also uses AI-based algorithms to process the given inputs. Due to this, the changes it makes to the content are coherent and intelligent.
If you have heard about this tool and are trying to learn more about its features and performance, you are at the right place. In this post, that is what we’re going to be exploring.
Rephrase | Main Features
Let’s first talk about some of the main features.
- It offers five different modes for paraphrasing
This is one of the most outstanding features of this tool. Although this feature exists in other popular ones as well, it is nevertheless quite a gem. It is one of the reasons that this tool holds a high rank amongst others of its ilk, in our opinion.
There are basically five different modes that you can use with this tool. All of the modes have a different working of their own, and they provide different results.
The names of the modes are as follows:
- Standard
- Fluency
- Creative
- Smart
- Formal
The Standard mode is the most basic one. The Fluency mode is somewhat smarter, with the Creative and Smart modes even more so. The Formal mode, along with being smart, also makes the content sound more crips and professional, which is why it is named so.
We will look at these modes in detail when testing the performance of this tool.
But, one thing to note about these modes is that while they are great and all, only the first two ones are available to free users. The rest are locked behind a paywall and can only be accessed after you become a paid member.
- It can be used in different languages
This is yet again another great feature that you can get when using Rephrase. Although English is the default language in which this tool is available, there is a host of others that you can pick from if you ever want to paraphrase content in lingos like German, French, and so on.
There are more than 20 languages available. You can select whichever one you want by clicking on the pop-up menu at the bottom right corner of the input box.
The good thing about the languages is that you don’t have to be a premium user to access them. Even if you happen to be a free member, you can still pick whichever one you want without any trouble.
Some of the languages supported by this tool are:
- French
- German
- Spanish
- Norwegian
- Indonesian
- It allows users to upload their files directly
When you have to start using the tool, it can be a bother if you have to write everything from scratch or if you have to copy – paste it from somewhere. But, Rephrase provides a feature that you can use here to save time instead.
And that is file uploads.
When importing your content, you can upload a file from your local storage. This feature can help you save your time and get the content without having to first open the file and then copy-pasting it.
The commonly-used formats such as DOCX, DOC, and TXT are supported by the tool.
- It allows users to modify and download the output
This is also another awesome feature that we think makes this tool all the better.
When you paraphrase your content using this tool, the output is provided in a box on the side. The output text is fully editable. You can click the text inside the box and then edit whatever you want.
The changed parts in the output are shown in orange, which makes them easy to spot.
Once you’re done with all the changes, you can click on the download icon button and save the output to your local storage.
Rephrase | Performance
Now that we’re done looking at the main features, let’s take a look at the performance.
To demonstrate the performance of this tool, we will basically take a bunch of random texts and run them through the different modes. Since we want to give you a well-rounded perspective of the tool, we will be using the premium version so that we can have access to all the modes.
- Demo 1: Using the Fluency mode
For the first demo, we will be using the Fluency mode. And here is the text that we will be entering into the tool:
The rabbits gnawed at the vegetable with reckless abandon. It was after they had half-consumed it that their chief sat up burping loudly. “Stop!” he shouted from between his heaving burps. “It is a carburetor!”
Here is what the tool did:
- Demo 2: Using the Smart mode
Next up, we are going to be using the Smart mode.
For this mode, here is the text that we will use:
“No American in that place knew exactly what would happen when that motorcade turned into Dealey Plaza. The next moments saw one of the most momentous incidents in American history unfold right in front of the people’s eyes.”
And this is how the tool paraphrased the content:
- Demo 3: Using the Formal mode
For the third test, we are going to use the Formal mode and put this content:
“There ain’t one fool on this block who can say I saw this truck here right here on this block first.”
You could be wondering why we decided to do a slang bit here, but since the aimof this mode is to make the content more formal-sounding, we wanted to put that to the test.
Here is what the tool did here:
Conclusion
Rephrase is an excellent tool, and there’s a lot more to it than what we’ve described in this brief post. The purpose of this post wasn’t to give you a thorough review of the tool. Rather, we just wanted to point out the main features and demonstrate the performance.
And we think we did that pretty well.
