How Does the Photos App’s “Share With You” Work?
When someone shares a photo with you, it will display in the Photos app’s new “Shared With You” area, which is found under the “For You” option. It could be a picture from the Messages app or another messaging app.
In the Messages app, you’ll see a download icon next to the image. To download and save the image to the Photos app on prior iOS versions, you had to touch on it.
You no longer need to download it at first. To see all shared photographs, open the Photos app and go to the “Shared With You” area of the “For You” menu. If you have a habit of deleting old messages, you might wish to keep the snapshot. The photo will be lost if you erase the message before saving it.

How to Directly Share Photos from iCloud
Instead of sharing the actual photo, you may now share an iCloud link using iOS 15. Long-press on the photo you wish to share with someone in the Photos app. Select “Copy iCloud link” after tapping the “Share” button.
